The Industrial Development Bureau's industrial upgrade innovation platform held a kick-off meeting today (19 June) for the 'ultra-thin polyester film pilot production and dye-sublimation printing verification' project, announced by Luo Shih-fan of the MOEA Industrial Bureau, Lin Cheng-liang, former deputy director of ITRI's Materials and Chemical Research Laboratories, Chien Hwa and HiTi chairman Huang Chien-hua, and Nan Yang general manager Chen Hung-mo. ITRI designed the polyester compound; Nan Yang ran 300 kg trial batches and then scaled to 3-tonne batches.
